Mohammed Kudus was born to his Ghanaian mother Mariama Suleiman on the 2nd of August, 2000 in Nima, Accra, Ghana. He lived with his mother and grandmother in Accra, Ghana and developed a keen interest in football at a very young age.

Youth Team

Mohammed Kudus started out his footballing career with Ghanaian team Dynamic Heroes football club (Right to Dream Academy) at the tender age of 12. He trained with the Right to Dream Academy for six years and developed into a very talented player before earning a move to Danish club Nordsjaelland at the age of 18.

Senior Career

Nordsjælland

Mohammed Kudus made his debut for Nordsjælland three days after his 18 years birthday as he started against fierce rivals Brøndby IF and became the ninth youngest footballer to ever play for the Danish side.

He featured prominently for Nordsjælland and was signed by Ajax two years later for a fee in the region of €9 million.

Ajax

Mohammed Kudus signed for Ajax on the 16th of July, 2020 on a five year deal from Nordsjælland. He made his official debut for the Dutch club on the 20th of September, 2020 coming on as a substitute in an Eredivisie game against RKC Waalwijk. His impressive performances in his first few games for the club saw him earn the praise of then manager Erik Ten Haag who called the Ghanaian a player with an “Incredible Potential”.

Mohammed Kudus bright start to life at Ajax would however be cut short on his UEFA Champions League debut for the club where he suffered a serious meniscus injury after only six minutes against Liverpool and would be ruled out for several months.

International career

Kudus made his international debut album with Ghana U-17 side in 2017 before earning a callup to the U-20 side the following year.

He made seven appearances in total for the Ghanaian youth squads and was called up to the Ghana senior squad in 2019 and has become a regular with the black stars ever since.
