Youth Career

Jack Kingdon briefly played rugby as a child before starting out his football career with Greater Manchester grassroots club FC Strikerz Avengers and would subsequently join Morecambe at the Under-12 level.

The defender was so impressive that he featured for Morecambe U-18’s at the tender age of 14 and caught the eye of Manchester United who would eventually snap up the player on the 26th of November, 2020 only a few days after his 15th birthday. He was drafted to feature for United’s U-16 side before being promoted to the U-18 squad less than two years later.

Jack Kingdon would be loaned out to English National League side Altrincham on the 16th of November 2022 but will return to United only a day later. He has since been a mainstay in for Manchester United’s U-18 side where he has caught the eye with his brilliant performances at the heart of defence.

A defensive injury crisis for would eventually see Jack Kingdon promoted to Manchester United’s first team squad by manager Erik Ten Haag ahead of a clash with Bournemouth on the 13th of April, 2024.

International Career

Jack Kingdon has represented Scotland at the International level, making his debut for the U-17’s on the 7th of October, 2021.

He currently plays for the Scottish U-19 side and has his eyes set on earning a callup to the Scottish senior squad. Kingdon is however still eligible to represent England in the future as he was born in Bolton.
