How To Apply UMES Land-Grant Scholarship Program

United States citizens who have completed their higher school can now apply for the Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) Scholarship.

The UMES has announced the release of its scholarship publicly and made it available to people who are interested and ready to meet certain requirements.

UMES Land-Grant Scholarship Deadline

The UMES Land-Grant Scholarship awards $15,000 per year in-state or $25,000 per year out-of-state, awards are eligible for renewable each year for the term of the school.

The current UMES Land-Grant Scholarship Deadline is 18 October 2023, you are expected to apply your application before this due date to avoid missing a space due to an influx of submissions.

Remember, the award will be paid to the college on behalf of the student to ensure the usage of the money for educational purposes as intended.

UMES Land-Grant Scholarship Winners

The successful applicant who has been approved by the management will receive a message via their email.

Kindly note that the message of the approval will be sent to the email you used when signing up for the scholarship program, please ensure you make use of a valid email address so you won’t miss any important updates.

UMES Land-Grant Scholarship Eligibility

The criteria of the Land-Grant Scholarship are very simple, and I can assure you all average students have that eligibility, however, you need to be worthy of the scholarship before your application will be considered.

  1. You must be a United States citizen, alternatively, you can obtain citizenship legally
  2. You must also apply to UMES no later than a year, after the date you got accepted to the UMES.
  3. Be interested in studying in the following fields.
  1. General Agriculture,
  2. Agribusiness
  3. Management,
  4. Environmental
  5. Science
  6. Human Ecology
  1. High school diploma certificate with at least 2.8 GPA unweighted (on a 4.0 scale)
  2. Intend to pursue a career in the following fields.
  • agricultural sciences, including a career in agribusiness
  • energy and renewable fields
  • financial management
